This scholarship is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs in Fiji develop their skills and grow their businesses. With the award-winning Growth Starter System, scholarship recipients will gain practical knowledge, access to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs and support throughout the course.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and passionate about entrepreneurship.
To apply, complete the online application, submit a personal statement, and provide supporting documents by August 30, 2024.

We are excited to support aspiring entrepreneurs in their journey to success. This scholarship aims to provide exceptional individuals with the opportunity to enhance their entrepreneurial skills through our comprehensive, award winning business system.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to start or grow a business
- Meet additional specific requirements listed [Refer to next section]
1 placement per category with a total of 4 categories:
- Young Entrepreneur Category – For university students
- Women in Business Category – For women-led businesses
- Tourism Category – For tourism providers/operators
- National Pride Category – For those using local products/services
Requirements
- Commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week to work through the Business System
- Be professional and punctual
- Commit to arriving at 1:1 mentor sessions having prepared relevant work as guided by the mentor
- Commit to consistent application of new learnings in the period immediately following graduation
- Be open to providing feedback and to receive feedback
- Share key performance metrics before and after the completion of the Business System for the purposes of positive awareness-building.
*The operating body that presents the applicant will manage their progress.

Submit a Personal Statement
Write a brief essay (500 words max) detailing your entrepreneurial aspirations, why you want to take this course, and how it will help you achieve your goals. (template will be provided)
Provide Supporting Documents
Include any relevant documents such as a business plan (template will be provided).
Interview (optional)
Some applicants may be invited for a brief interview with our founding director and/or selection committee.

Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Passion for entrepreneurship
- Potential for impact in their chosen field
- Clarity of vision and goals
- Quality of the personal statement and supporting documents

- Clear Vision: Applicants should demonstrate a well-defined vision for their entrepreneurial ventures.
- Passion and Commitment: Evidence of genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a strong commitment to their business ideas.

- Creativity: Ability to generate innovative and original ideas.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated capacity to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
Leadership and Initiative
- Leadership Experience: Previous leadership roles or initiatives, either in school, community, or past entrepreneurial efforts.
- Self-Starter: Evidence of taking initiative and being proactive in pursuing goals.
Business Acumen
- Basic Business Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental business concepts and principles.
- Financial Literacy: Ability to manage budgets, understand financial statements, and plan for financial sustainability
Resilience and Adaptability
- Overcoming Challenges: Examples of resilience in facing and overcoming challenges or setbacks.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and pivot when necessary.
Impact and Social Responsibility
- Social Impact: Ventures that aim to address social, environmental, or community issues.
- Ethical Considerations: Commitment to ethical business practices and social responsibility.
Communication and Collaboration Skills
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and present business plans.
- Collaboration: Experience working effectively in teams and collaborating with others.
Recommendations and References
- Strong References: Letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or business leaders who can attest to the applicant’s entrepreneurial potential and character.
